VANISHING FEATHERS

This collection pays tribute to some of the most remarkable birds from around the world, whose numbers have dwindled into tragedy or mystery. Through stunning, limited-edition Art NFTs, we explore the profound impact of habitat loss, hunting, and human activity on these avian wonders.

The Passenger Pigeon

Once the most abundant bird in North America, Passenger Pigeons flew in flocks so massive they darkened the skies. In 1866, a flock in Canada stretched 300 miles and was estimated to include 3.5 billion birds. Today, this iconic species is extinct.

The Spix's Macaw

Famous as “Blu” from the movie Rio, the Spix’s Macaw faced near extinction from habitat destruction and illegal pet trade. For over 20 years, it was considered extinct in the wild. Thanks to captive breeding and conservation, the first birds were reintroduced to their native Brazil forests in 2022.

The Ivory-billed Woodpecker

One of the most striking woodpeckers, the Ivory-billed Woodpecker was thought extinct for much of the 20th century due to hunting and habitat loss. A 2004 sighting in Arkansas sparked hope, but later searches failed to confirm its presence. Some believe it still lingers in hidden forests; others fear it’s gone forever.
